What about an out of state reg and plate? Lilkely not completely legal but will solve the unregistered vehicle problem. I did that for enduros on state land/public roads here.

I'm not sure how I'd pull that off. Wouldn't you have to have residency in the state you're plating for?

Boy, nice bike to get rid of, especially having it dialed in like you do.

But, I understand and have been down that road too, thinking DS. I even tried to go with a plated XR400 as only bike, but I quickly realized that you have to compromise with just one bike that is a DS. If it is a good dirtbike, then you will suffer on the road. If it does well on the road, you can forget any performance in the dirt.

If I were to ever think of the DS dirtbike again, I would not hesitate to pick up a Husky TE310. Everything I've read seems to fit the bill in terms of woods performance and I would just suffer on the road.

Or, keep the gasser and pick up a DRZ400 or something similar for DS days.

Ok, I've sealed the deal on a new Husky TE 449. I really need to sell the Gas Gas... so...

$5500.00!

I've passed this info on to a bunch of people. Even living in NE and making the drive down it would be worth it for that bike IMHO.

Gas capacity on that new Husky is what???

I sat on one and its a pretty big bike compared to the GG! Hope your happy with it.

It kind of depends on what your dual sports are like. The ones I like here are more like big trail rides and require a full on woods bike for max fun, and enforcement is light. Most entries are in fact enduro bikes. The DS runs that are pavement and dirt roads I'll pass on.

Krieg, I have my 2011 GG plated and inspected here in PA and from living here you know how big of a PIA PA can be.
The GG title is a M/C title, just added the rest of the needed goodies and now have a plated and inspected smoker.
Sure hope you like that 499. As much is I like Husky's that bike just looked like a mechanics dream.
What does your title say?
I have a friend that has an 05 GG and wants an 2011 in the worst way.
