Plastic cage OEM, aluminum cage for the TA. The supplied filter uses five locating pins instead of three in the OE set-up. The mating surface is flatter as well.

I've been using 1 for years; it makes it easier to mount the filter into the airbox with no gaps--it's stiffer & has extra pins. I just sold it to a GG rider in Norway....

Sounds like a great upgrade.
Question: Can stock filters be used with the new cage?
I have a couple of brand new stock filters.... Hate to throw them away in addition to the cost of the new system plus a couple of spare filters.

I have the same dilemma . Does this flow kit exists for the 2011 300s ?

I just used the extra pins on the aftermarket cage to punch new holes in the filter elements, worked like a champ.

That will work fine, and filters are the same from '07+.
