ETA of next bike shipment?

Anyone hear anything? Dealer tells me BMG has no date, I don't like the sound of that. It was 4 weeks a month ago.

That is sad. Same thing happened to a friend last year. He had a deposit on a FSE450 and it never showed. He finally got sick of waiting and purchased a WR450.

I hope BMG gets it together, because nothing takes the thrill out of buying a new bike like bad or no information about delivery.

With our Distributor changes in Canada, they are bit late getting here as well.

I am waiting for 3 07 EC300s and am told that it will be mid May for 2 of them to arrive. The CDN Dist does have EC250s in stock right now though.

Well, I hope not mid May. That will not do. No news in a week or so though is not good.

When did those 250s show up, because the latest shipment was supposed to have a lot of 250s including mine.

Canada has a different Dist than the US.

In fact, we used to have a West Coast and an East Coast Dist. (GG Pacific and GG Atlantic) GG Pacific has just bought out GG Atlantic and will be looking after the entire country.

I talked to the Dist today and he said he has lots of 250s but only 1 EC300 which I grabbed immediately. Our ECs are real Euro bikes with headlight, tail-lights etc... For some reason the 250s dont sell real well up here. Everyone wants 300s.

Not true. I want a 250. I just can't afford it yet. Maybe next year...

The same thing happened during the last importer shake up in 2002. I don't think very many '02 bikes made it across the Atlantic. If the '07 bikes don't make it until May or June, people will hold off purchases until the '08 models come out.

I wouldn't worry too much... (yet!)

I talked to Dan @ Marshalls Motorsports today (I am putting together a website for him) - it isn't that there isn't a shipment coming - it's that Iron Mountain won't commit to a specific date because the spaniards are not always "timely" - a cultural thing...

So, all I would conclude at this point is that Iron Mountain (dixie/bmg) is just being conservative... I'll see if I can get an "estimate" or "guess" out of Iron Mountain and let you know.

My buddy just bought an EC300 from GoFasters. He said they still have a DE300.
