Ill take what I can get.The bike is clapped out but for some reason I want to save it.Im not a big 200 fan but it might make a good trail builder
.Used stuff is fine.Different color plastics is fine.Need a stator or complete basket case engine would be great.Id like to know what years interchange.Seat, tank plastics engine parts etc.A stock barrel with good bore would be nice.

If you are looking for Gas Gas to Gas Gas, then many parts are interchangeable. The main differences are the 200 motor has some unique parts such as crank, cylinder bore., gear on clutch basket. There was a change to engine in 2005. plastics and tank changed in 2001. There are a few 200 pipes out there but many were equipped with 250 pipes. I have owned many Gas Gas bikes 1999- ec300,xc250, ec200, mc250. 2000- ec200, 2002-ec125, 2005-de300, 2007-ec200, 2009-ec152, 2010 ec250f. If you details on what you need to know I mafbe able to help, as the early bikes had many changes such as one of my 1999's had Ducati type ignition.

99-2001 on the plastics?Or will earlier plastic fit?Im not familiar with the stator lighting coil setups on these.Saw some aftermarket stuff looked cheap. Is factory better?Whats the wattage on the lighting coil?Is there an easy upgrade that cranks it out.Do you have any parts left lying about?

1999=2000 plastics will fit without mods. Is there any of your lighting coil mounted to the cover itself (like ducati)? I would have to look in shop, but I may have crank mounted stator, some early plastics (most likely well used),a oversized tank as well as stock. 2001 plastics will fit with tank and airbox change.

As for ignition 99's has a 2k3, that should be about 80watts I believe. KTM's used the same.

OEM forks were 43mm conventional Zokes. One leg is compression the other was rebound, set up properly they are reallyggood in the rocks, but flex at high speeds and were dirty. Meaning the aluminum was soft and contamination of the oil would occur. A very easy swap of late model front end works great. I have 45mm WP forks on my bike.

Gaskets can be had by any GG dealer. Bearings as well or a bearing shop.

The only real drawbacks of the 99 is the plastic. Very hard to find. Rear fender, seat cover and side panels can be had,in black or white by using like 97-99 KX. If you swap out the tank then you can get newer radiator shrouds.

Piston is Weisco so are the rings. Clutch is either OEM or Barrnett has fiber, steel plates and springs. GoFasters can get those parts as well.

Brakes are Brembo, so cross over to KTM as well.

Sprocket c/s is Talon (OEM )or Dirt Tricks, AFAM. Rear sprocket is late model Husky again several cross overs.

Radiator grills are KTM.

Seat cover can be had in about any material and color from Motoseat. Spec a KX older model, Travis @ Motoseat knows the year.

Utah Sport Cycle has a nice skid plate as well.

Scott's has a nice rear brake carrier and rotor guard.

Reed pedals are easy, Boyseen (sp)

Pipes are hard to come by for the 200. OEM was a Messico. I've tried several and like the Messico the best, however it light but dents very easy.

The 200 motor has been pretty much unchanged since 99 when it first was introduced. With some minor mods can be pretty strong, the 2k3 flywheel is heavy and gives the bike a very linear feel. If you want more hit, try a 2k2. Squish mod is a must.

Durability is second to none, mine has been raced and trail ridden and I've never had to split the cases, until now. I've decided that it is time after 13 years of service. I've put 3 topends in about13 years of ownership. Clean quality fuel, proper jetting and top quality oil has provided many years of happy ownership.

What other info would like?

Pretty damn good.Thx helpful. For some reason I thought they had 45 zokes.Ive got 50s on the TMs.Whats the range like on these things?45-50 miles on a tank
woods riding at a decent pace.Im really just looking for a stealth trail building bike.Something dependable, quiet and light with some torque but can still cover ground in a hurry if you need to.

Are the titles usually branded 57 in Oregon or can you plate them like the TMs?
