Default New EC 300 owner

Just joined the club. Bought a 2011 ec 300 from Gunnison Motorsports here in Gunny. Fritz is a new GG dealer and has been selling Husabergs for 5+ years. I have been riding big bore 4 strokes for some time(currently a fe550).

I decided I wanted an enduro 2 stroke to compliment my 550 beast. It was either a KTM or Gasser. Well, here I am ....Is there any must "do" or quirk I should be aware of? I intend on running her through her paces this weekend if things go as planned.

Hey I just gave you a congrats over on TT but I'll do it here too....CONGRATS! I have the 2010 GG 300 and I had to remove a plastic cable tie from the PV vent hose and re-jet. Other than that just ride. I'm sure some 2011 owners will fill you in on them. Look forward to your ride report. I have a feeling you are gonna love the handling and smooth power. Oh BTW welcome to the site!

Well I rode this fine machine. I must say it is an excellent bike! No bad traits, runs like a top, very resistant to stalling. 50 tooth rear sprocket, 165 main, 42 pilot, not sure what clip position. Set-up by the dealer as it was a demo bike. Checked the plug after 100+ miles perfect color. Bike never even came close to boiling over. I must say it is beautiful machine! (but you all know this)

Perfect plug color up in Colorado? Could you list what needle you found if you remember?

Jet sizes were written on the outside of the float bowl by the dealer. It was unnecessary to check at this point. Plug came out a nice light brown. I have not ridden it above 9000ft yet, as the snow pack is glacial this year. We have a nice desert riding area called hartman rocks 7000'-9000' asl.

stop by and say thks to your dealer for jetting it for you. these bikes are great, but there are so many style of riders and jetting combo's that it is overwhelming for some people.

Oh yeah, Fritz is great. I have bought five motorcycles from him over the years. It was based on his recommendation I tried the GG. Glad I did!
