crank seal size

I'm struggling to get a crank seal at the moment. But my local bearing shop can sort me out one that ok for heat (viton or something) the problem is that it's 1mm thicker. The diameters are the same, but it's thicker.

Can anyone see this causing a problem?

I've tried the gasgas dealers in New Zealand, and Australia, but there is none in stock.

The thicker one is from my local bearing distributer.

The bike is a 2002 ec200..

Anyone know the size it's ment to be as I can find the size in the info/manuals I have, and I want to ring round some places.
