Fork Question
Hey all,
Love my old trusty GG300 and race it cross country. My question is about forks as one of my friends is gonna part out all his 4 stroke KTMs because he smoked the motor in every one of them within the last month. One is an 08 250f. Anyway I am wondering if any of the forks will fit my GG? He has the 08 and an 04 and maybe an 03 as well. Any help is as always, greatly appreciated. N613 |

Ok nobody responded but here is what i found out for any of you that may want to know.
I was given a set of WP forks off an 03 450 KTM and they fit. The caliper bolted on and everything seemed like it was gonna work. But the axle wouldnt slide into the right fork at the fat end. The fork leg is a little bit smaller on the opening than my original GG forks. I am going to get the big end of my axle milled down a tiny bit, then they will work. |

Unless the 03 forks have been reworked you probably wont like them. KTM/WP added a 3rd internal bushing that many people remove and reverse the other 2. Then holes need to be drilled in the lower sliders for improved oil flow.
If your a member of KTM Talk there is tons of info on these available to make them better. Register and start searching in the suspension. Try 3rd bushing removal and you should get plenty of hits. Skidad |
