Default ltr pull rods

I had a set of 124's on my 300. I ran them for a bit and then took them off. I currently run a 54 spring on the shock and was thinking of going with a 52. The pull rod is suppose to drop the back of the bike down a bit and soften up the back end ..iirc. Anyone know if putting the 124 pull rod back on my approximate what 52 spring on the shock might do??
