Default Advice needed

A up im after some advice ive got a 2000 ec 250 and the left hand engine case (as you sit on the bike) has at some point in its life been broken were the swing arm fits through it.. Is this a common fault. It looks like it has been welded back together fairly well.. Would you split the cases and replace it??? The bike rides fine infact it is the best handling off road bike I have ever had! Should I replace it? What are your thoughts on this?

There is always a rule with things like this. IF ITS NOT BROKEN DONT FIX IT. Although you should keep an eye on it.
