I don't have the specs but, while on the subject.....is it true that the DRZ valve shim kit is the same as th GG? I have a Suzuki dealer right down the street, and that would be convenient.

??? I checked, and nothing there. We (I) could use a nice tech article on adjusting the valves on the FSE though! Anyone care to volunteer? The service manual that I have is in every language but english.

Thumbs down service maual

The one big downfall of this great bike is the manual that comes with the bike.It seems as though they don't want any other person to work on the bikes.

That's all good, but from what I've been told, you have to shim these valves. Never done that before.....I've done lots of the old type with a feeler guage ,a screw driver, and an open end wrench.....but don't have a clue about shimming......don't even know where to get the shims? I can't be the only one out there that feels a little intimidated by this. Once I do it for the first time, I'll be all set....it's just knowing how is all.

I have been considering purchase of "how to dvd" showing the DRZ400. Now that Nick mentioned the CRF shims work also... But yes I have read somewhere that the DRZ400 and the FSE450 shims are innerchangeable.
I could really use a GGFSE450 paperback Shop Manual.

The shim is a 9.48 diameter. I believe this is the same as the drz. I used hot cams stuff for crf450's from the local honda shop.

The only paperback shop manual I have came off a printer right after I downloaded it. Same deal with my new ec250.
