Default transformation kit help needed

I'm working on installing the kit tonight on my 2000 and have a few questions/issues.

#1 I can't get my seat to fit over the tank. My tank is the long type that fits into the seat base but the tank seems a bit to wide in that area? It looks like it should fit but won't. Is there really a difference from the 2000 to 2001 tank??

#2 What muffler are people using with the kit? My stock FMF is up to high to mount on the sub frame and is contacting the fender.

Can't help with the tank issue as mine's a 2002 and that was a bit of bitch to get the seat to match up with.

I had to change my exhaust as my FMF Powercore wouldn't fit the new subframe - I used a 2010 stock tailpipe that a mate had in his shed and that fitted perfectly.

What was the fitment issue with your 02 seat? Mine feels like if I jumped on it, it might go?

That was exactly how it was with mine. It took 2 of us to get it to give in the centre so that the middle bracket caught correctly - 1 pushed down whilst the other pushed it forwards.

Now it's been on for 2 months it goes on and off easily - I guess the curve of the base is slightly different when it's new?

With a bit of armstrong I got mine to go. On yours, is there a visible gap in the recess of the tank where the old seat sat (very front)? Like the new seat doesn't fill the tank recess completely.

Yes there is a gap on mine too, figured I'd look out for a later tank at some point to lose it.
