Default Fuel pump replacement

hello everyone, I'm the new owner of an 03' 450fse

the bike doesn't seem to prime when the key is turned.
and b y some odd turn of events, my trusty volt meter is missing!

alternatively, I removed the fuel pump assembly and directly tested 12v on the pump motor, it received the power, moved very slighty but didn't turn like it was frozen.

is there anything I should check before ruling that the pump is bad?

if it is indeed faulty, where can I find a pump for a decent price?
can my current pump be refurbished?

any and all help is apreciated!

First check your getting good voltage from the relay(back cover,rh side)bearing in mind it's a tachometricly controled unit.
The pumps have been generaly reliable. The wiring and switching not so.
Good luck finding oem.
In
an old thread here, someone used an airtex e7000 pump as a replacemnt.
I guess any intank 12v pump of similar dimensions would do the job.

Checked the relay and it was getting power.
Are there any specifications that I need to look for in a new pump? Does each pump have adjustable pressure and what does the gasgas call for?

Where could I find a pump like this?
What Else would I need for the setup? Ie pressure regulator?
