Compression clicker not clicking, 45mm Shiver
Anyone had this issue? 2006 ec 300. Right side fork leg when adjusting compression clicker (bottom of fork, yes?) can't feel or hear any indication to be able to count clicks in or out. Screw just turns smoothly so difficult to know setting or whether in fact it doing anything inside. Have bike completely stripped for upgrade and will service forks, new seals / oil while off bike and once I've worked out how to split the two halves to change seals thought I would investigate clicker issue. Any hints on splitting legs for seal change and accessing bottom clicker assy appreciated.

thanks for that info, sounds fairly painless, was expecting something broken! Assume need to strip out fork legs to get to assembly inside though to clean off grease?

My case was dirt accumulation.
What awaits you is base valve removal, circlip prying, removing copper shim. Unscrew the clicker fully. Watch for the clicker ball. Clean everything, maybe replace orings (mine was leaking), lube and assemble. Would like to purchase rubber caps if they were anywhere to find under part number. |
