06FSE450 Performance pipe
Is there anyone out there who has used the Gas Gas "racing" pipe in the parts manual, and what type of gain did you get? There is nothing wrong with the power delivery of the stock pipe, but you always want more . I've read on the forums that the US bikes were fitted with FMF tail pieces, but after sending them an email I've had no answer as to what the part number is, or whether there's one available for the 06.
Also, if anyone has fitted a performance pipe, was it possible to easily tune the EFI/Management system to optimise the installation? Does anyone know what bhp/kw the stock bikes push out in the real world, not on the Spanish siesta dyno? |

I'd spend on a good suspension setup first unless you do a lot of straight line, easy terrain stuff. My 450 (KTM) goes faster than I ever want to. Above 70 mph my arms get tired and I need drop bars!!! My EC300 tops out at about 70 mph with 13/48 gearing and only one race I've done have I ever hit it the limit. |
