Default 2011 XC250 header pipe replace??

Stock $$ is rediculous.... Anyone buy a DEP or FMF GNarly Pipe for the 2011 XC250? I like the stock pipe well enough so I'm wondering which of the above is most like it. ???

My son is running a DEP on his 250. He seems to think it's broadened the powerband somewhat. The bike seems to idle better with no other changes except the DEP muffler. On the down side, the DEP doesn't tuck in as nicely as the OEM pipe.

I am not real happy with my FMF Gnarley I replaced my stock pipe with on my 2011 300 sixdays with. It hangs much lower than stock and the power is not as strong. The pipe is now lower than my skid plate.

I have sold a bunch of the EE/DEP pipes. Everyone seems to be quite happy with them. I think EE might have them on sale right now as well.

Which one is the thickest?

We need an alloy version of the Hyde combo, with easier R&R, to protect these big $$ pipes better.

Is there any difference between the 250 and 300 DEP pipes? Doesn't seem to be when trying to order one.

Nope. 250/300 pipes are the same on the gasgas. This is also true about KTMs.

I was thinking of an alloy plate and an alloy Flatland pipe guard tied together with bolt on struts. Some vibration isolation would have to be put in play too. Modular R&R and shouldn't collect as much mud as the Hyde.
