transmission info. needed

2003 ec250 with two bad gears and shift fork pin. Does anyone know if trans parts from a gasgas 4 stroke will work in the 2 stroke trans? Can't find any 2 stroke transmissions but, Found a couple of 400 or 450 transmissions on e-bay. I have not had time to check part numbers for a match. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Find the time because as far as I know no one here has done it. Honestly I doubt they are all the same. I think a couple guys here have lower ends for sale if your willing to go that route. Even new it shouldn't be that bad for a couple gears if thats all it is.

Did some searching on the gasgas website and looked up the parts manuals for each bike. The gears themselves share part numbers but some things are different. The main shafts are different and the shift drum also. I am helping out a friend but i like to know this stuff i plan on keeping my gasser a long time.

there is some parts on the uk ebay if that help, but one fella is a bit pricey tho mate
