Mounting the stock GG hand guards.
My 2011 XC 300 came with some GG guards. The mounting on the clutch side is obvious. The mounting on the brake side is, to put it mildly, confusing.
Has anyone used the GG supplied bark busters on a newer bike? Am I just too stupid to figure it out? I didn't get any instructions. |

Nevermind. Figured it out. Some tin snips and tie wraps work miracles!

The stock roost guards don't look to be any match for the trees we have alongside every trail, so I don't even mount them. Try a EE, Fastway, or Acerbis guard instead for more protection.

Just like twowheels said, forget the stock roost guards and get some real hand guards. The first time your bars hit a tree you will wish you did.
