Kickstand broken off, help please
Went down on the left. Not very hard actually, and when I picked the bike up the kickstand was loose. It broke by the hole where the chain roller bolts to the frame along with the kickstand. Has anyone ever hard this happen to them and if so how did you fix it.

Thanks guys. I was hoping I wouldn't have to weld it. I'll look for the threads for the relocation. On a different note, the chain roller broke off also, is that a big deal to not have?

Me too
Just snapped off my mount where the roller bolt goes through but.......
the part of the frame that snapped off is gone. Probably out on the trail somewhere. Any thoughts on how to replace the missing part of the frame? I am guessing I can find another GasGas, draw a template of the bracket and have someone fabricate it? Thanks J

Heres what I found.. I bought the replacement part, but never bothered to install it. Just added a typical TMDesignworks lower chain guide and let it do its thing. Now I just have to find a tree to lean the bike against when I stop. |

So this leads me to ask: the roller behind the kickstand is not necessary?

I wouldn't ride without it. I think it would run the risk of the chain slapping down against the shifter and/or shaft. I rewelded the tab similar to n_green, but instead of installing the kickstand and bracket back between the tab and the frame, I just used a ball bearing roller. I'll take a pic this arv for you.
