2008 info

Hey all, I just read that Gas Gas plans to release 2008 model info on July 26th. No other specifics at this point.

It sounds like the biggest changes will be in the FSR.

The 2008's will most likely have a new EFI system with a capacitor that will help manage the power for the EFI electronics and fuel pump thus eliminating the need for a battery and ultimately the electric start motor which could save up to 10 pounds.

Also look for new front fenders and new headlight along with new graphics.

Some of the '07 FSR part numbers indicate that a 500 most be in the works as well as a lot of the codes used to identify some of newer fourstroke FSR parts start with a 50 which means they are for a 500cc machine.

The 2 strokes should be mostly unchanged but they will recieve the new front fender, headlight and graphics.

Just some speculation.

They teased us with a 500 in 2005, didn't they?

I doubt we'll see a factory direct DOT legal FSR here in the states.
I don't think they bring in enough to justify getting tangled up in the DOT paperwork.
