Hi there, and happy new year gassers!

Well, after a long journey testing several sets in my 300 GG quad, I found the perfect formula!

pilot 38
main 182
raise the cilynder to clear the ehxaust port
set the squish to 1,00 mm
remove the 2 washers from the powervalve setup
NIEG first clip from above
and the most important, throtle valve number 9, instead of number 7!

I ran sea level, 5 to 15 degrees celsius.

Now, the quad just flyes!

what's the difference between the slides?
would you have a pic or make a drawing, or even discribe it?

the GG Keihin throttle valves have a number stamped on it, and the greater the number the more air flow moves into the carb. So, keeping the same needle and raising the valve number, you get a leaner mixture, especially in low range.

Hope it helps.

This is a mode we do in europe, I saw it in a French forum.

Regards

Hi hannesd,

I borrowed it from a friend of mine and did the necessary machinig on my n?7 slide to equal the n? 9 one. It is an easy job if you get a drill with abrasive sand paper rollers. All you have to do is to cut about 1,2 mm (on slide n?7 profile) to obtain the n?9 intake curve.

I will try to send you a picture to you if you send me your pm.

i did the slide mod and tested it today, it does run much better now.
idle is still rich but will swap the 40PJ to a 38PJ.
MJ is at 175 now, maybe change that to 178 or 180.
