Well it's pretty obvious that my local Ammsoil seller is doubling his money on Dominator. lol I really would like some feedback on the Spectro if anyone has long term use of it to give feedback.

A guy could probably mix a bunch of 2t oil brands, as long as they're not ester based, and be ok. Dominator even states on the bottle that it mixes well with other oils. I'm looking to stick with one brand and use it until the 1st top end is needed and see how it does.

I use BelRay MC-1 full synthetic at 50:1. $55 a gallon. Don't care for the smell, works great, doesn't separate even when it sits a while. Blue color.

Used to use Redline, in my road racer (Honda RS-250). Great oil, but is separates out if you let it sit. I would never leave it in the tank overnight becasue of that. But the crank was always bathed in oil when I worked on the engine.

Your getting ripped off with the Amsoil, whats up with that? I too pay less than $40/gal, this has worked out to be cheaper than anything I could buy in an MC shop over the last ten years or so. I remember Motul 800 was $14/qt in the late '90s, whats that going for now?

Redline will absorb moisture, separate a bit, and foul the brass in the carb really bad. Good race oil but not worth the $$ and hassle for dirt bike use.

Only Spectro I have used is Golden Spectro and thats really old school stuff, been around since the early '70s. Burns dirty too compared to todays modern oils. Amsoil leaves a brown stain on the exhaust port and PV parts, thats it, no hard carbon buildup at all. I'm sure other other good synthetics are similar.

Glen, last bottle of Motul 800T I bought was right at $18.00.

I am a die hard Motul guy...800 T for many years, recently switched to 710, seems to run better with less mess!!!

How do you know it's the same? I've used Yamalube race synthetic blend and liked it but it was kind of pricey, if Citgo is the same which Yamalube formula is it the same as?

I thought Citgo was largely Russian but in any event is there an oil company that isn't an evil empire?

Citgo is Chavez, Lukoil is Putin. Amsoil is American.
