Default 2004 G/G 250 Motor into G/G 200???

Anyone out there ever try to put a 250 motor into a 200 chaisis? Have chance to buy 250 motor and wonder if it would fit into my current G/G. Just want a little more power and it would be any easy way of doing it if it fits - Motor Mtgs, Pipe, Swing Arm, Carb, etc. Please let me know. THANKS

What year 200 frame? In '03 the swingarm pivot dia changed, and in '05 the cases and motor mount position changed slightly. So, for an '04 motor, an '03/'04 frame should be no problem.

Default 2004 GasGas 200 fitted with 2006/2007 250cc Motor

Thanks guys for the response. My G/G is a 2004 200 and I am trying to put either a 2006 or 2007 250cc Motor into my 200 frame. A good friend of mine is selling a couple of motors and I'll get one of the Motors and check the dims to see if it'll fit. He also has a 250 pipe so I'll see how that fits a well.

Thanks, Bob

You will only need a small spacer for the motor mount down by the shifter then. Although it wouldn't be necessary because the rest of the mounts will be tight so the motor won't move.
