Default The Hits Just Keep Coming - Cycle News Review

This just in - Cycle News just posted a several page review of the XC300R and they loved it. You can read about it on-line at http://cyclenews.coverleaf.com/cyclenews/20120821#pg99

They griped about the oil filler hole, the kickstand, having to remove a muddy screw to get the seat off, a slightly firm saddle, and steering lock. The rest they pretty much gushed about

Not wrong Steve. That article felt like someone giving gas gas a reach around! Good times! You can't complain when they only real gripes are all being addressed for 2013 as well. I can only see it gaining even more credit. A manufacturer who actually addresses the issues!

The only complaint that will not be eventually addressed on the '13 is the oil filler hole. Later '13s will even have a different side stand bracket that can be changed to disable the self retracting feature.

what's it take a whole 'nother minute to pour the oil in while changing. I still use the same funnel that I use on the kid's Hondas. No big deal

Nice to see the major mags are giving credit. Good job Clay!

Back in 1998, Cycle News did a test on the EC250. That article got me hooked on Gas Gas'.

Don't worry. They (wives) get over it after a while. If there's no communication after about a week and a half you might buy flowers or something.

It is! You need to buy a new one. Tell your wife it's my fault. All of my buddies do that anyway!

I didn't think the review was bad at all. Most reviews point on the negatives on a bike. It seems like overall they felt it was great bike.

As for the wife part...I just went through it picking up my new to me EC250. Two days later she was talking again.
