2011 EC300 main bearing

I just completed a full rebuild on my 2011 Gasgas ec300. I rebuilt the bottom end because it had a little bit of up and down play. With the bike being new to me, I didn't know how many hours where on the bike so I figured a full rebuild and start with a new engine. After riffing the bike a few hours, I pulled the magneto cover and there was a very small amount of play, but some play....I have rebuild many bikes, but never ran into this before. Everything is within spec and nothing worn. Anyone ever experienced this?

Which direction is the play?
How much torque did you put on the primary nut, rhs of engine/crank? The 2006 workshop manual that is around says something stupid like 40Nm (not nearly tight enough).
What bearings did your bike have on the stator side? replaced with the same? what tolerance? C3/4?

Used OEM bearings. Your question about the rhs nut is interesting.....I will pull the clutch cover and check it. I tightened it using my 3/8 impact on the lowest setting. However, the play is on the magneto side, but it could transfer if the opposite side is moving, right?. Maybe it loosened up? Thanks for the help!
