Default 2009 Husaberg

Since most of us here are motor tech junkies and Euro bike nuts... I thought I'd share the preliminary photos of the 2009 Husaberg.

Completely new engine with the cylinder angled some 70 degrees forward, almost "completely laying down". The motor / trans is stacked with the crank over the countershaft. Downdraft EFI, one piece radiator, perimiter frame, fuel tank under seat, protected exhaust header, few exposed lines, centered shock - not offset like the KTM and cassette style gearbox. Oh, the chain is finally on the correct side.

I’m waiting for info on how the 70 degree engine affects the CG. It must be balanced like a trials bike.

That is one (IMO) good looking machine. Not sure about the technology though. Us dirt bikers are a conservative lot.

Ha! Caught you out. The gearbox is behind the motor on the CT90.

The more I look at the 'Berg though the better looking it is. IMO probably the best looking dirt bike EVER.

Yeah, I had noticed that. Now just swap the exhaust and intake ports. We all know what happened to the last company that tried that

The center of gravity seems high on this bike.

You know how all the magazines whined about the high CG of the Yamaha 4 strokes because of the dual cam motor.

I read that the crankshaft is in line with the center of gravity on the bike, this evidently makes the bike handle better as crank shaft spinning at the c.o.g of the bike apparently cancells out a lot of crank shaft effect ... something like that anyway.
