Default Trying to help a mate.

Just wondering if anyone would have a spare 2014 model Ec 300 motor centre gasket?
We cannot seem to source one here in Australia and we are meant to be going for a great ride in a few weeks.
He could pay postage and then return or get a new one sent to you once he can buy one.
Thanks Mark

Should have been more specific.
Motor centre case gasket. Between the cases.
Cheers Mark

Tried everything , even motorcrosscentre.
Just hoping someone had one as a spare?
If not we will have to cut one out or use the original with threebond.
Cheers Mark

You say a few weeks, but how quick do you need it?

I have to place an order with my local dealer, and I'd be surprised if he doesn't have the gasket. If he does, it will take a week for me to get it, then I'll have to post to OZ.

Will that work? If yes, give me the part number and I'll see if he has it, or can get it quick.

Jason

Confirmed, pics and part numbers are different for the 2015 gasket vs the 2013. Have you had a look in person though Mark? Think an old gasket would still line up?

Would be a pain for sure having to cut one, but if you go that route let me know and I'll measure up the thickness for you. I have a torn one thats been sitting on top of my PC case for the last couple years.

Jake ,
He has the old gasket and it is still in one piece. He is wanting to replace it with a new one to cancel out all problems. This is the 14 model that is being spoken about on DBW.
It is getting air into the cooling system from somewhere for those that have not heard the background of this bike.
JP4,
Thanks mate , I will let you know. We are leaving on the 10th of April which is just over a week away now so it may be a bit tight?

I reckon he just puts the original back in with threebond both sides but then if it still sucks air and pressurises the cooling system he will have to pull it down again. FYI, he is replacing the head with an S3 head from Jeff.
It has been reported that some 14's did have a porous head and the symptoms were the same ,so this will cancel that also.

Jake, Is there much he will need to do re rejetting for the different head and compression?
Cheers Mark
