Bad idle after new crank seals
I've changed the crank seals. He started bad,I mean very very low idle even with choke, after a 10 minutes the idle still the same but after some correction of idle screw and air screw the idle return bun not quite right.
Before to replace the seals, bike runs well, idle good, but at first start in cold day the idle was waaaay to high, now is contrary. My feeling is that:with the new seals bike don't take air leak, and now my pilot jet seams to be rich. Or? |

I would tend to think the same. Sounds like you may have had an air leak before. What is your jetting? What bike and altitude?

Yes it sounds like you compensated for the bad seals now you need to reject for it being sealed up.

Ec 300 2008 jetting: 42 N3CH@4 180 temp. 5C~13C and altitude around 800m.
I think to rise the needle clip one step. Spark plug color was, before to change the seals, very light side cappuccino color.I never had a light brown normal color,so maybe I'm on right way. Now with new seals spark plug tend to look in good way, some orange color was added. The image below is a joke, so don't look at it. |
