Hey Shark. Any visible damage to the tank? Has it split or cracked? Like Nato said, anything rubbing against it or the likes?? Maybe take a few photos and email them to your dealer. If its a defect as it sounds I'm sure you'll have no issues getting it warranted, but there is a process to follow.

Shark,
Absolutely if it is defective. Take the bike back to your dealer, have him call Mark at GF and send photos. Who did you buy the bike from? This is the first leaking tank we've had on a '12.

Mine has just split too! Does the 13 tank fit better than the 12? I reckon its because I forced the tank bolt in as until now I never put it in.

I think the 2012 was a 10.5L tank and for 2013 they went back to a 9.5L to improve fitment. I managed to cross thread the first 2 threads of my mount due to poor fitment issues. I then filed/sanded the hole in the tank to align at a better position and angle. Finally went to a longer bolt rather than only having 3 threads attach to the frame.

Got any pics of the damage Nato?
