12 300 gas tank leaking

Haven't pulled it down yet but I will in the morning tomorrow. Pretty disappointing out of a two yr old bike. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.

I have a 13 tank on my 12. Clay replaced my tank because it was so swollen I couldnt get it back into the frame. It never did crack but I really dont have very many hours on my 12.

I wouldnt really say the 13 fits better but it does fit. Size appears to be idential to the 12, the petcock is in a different location. Front bolt still doesnt line up correctly(1/2 a hole off), I drilled out the aluminum bushing so the bolt goes in easily. Shrouds and everything dropped right in place.

I will say with the 13 tank/seat and the alum subframe the whole assembly is much more stable/rigid, it feels completely different(in a good way).
