Nope tried that and the wife barely tolerates my day trips, gotta go to golden or revelstoke(4 hour drive) for the good sledding(or skidooing )
And besides I think I like riding snow single track better than I like sledding

It's weird right! You get use to the cold(or wet) and it becomes just a new challenge for me. I just want to be on two wheels as much as possible so I have to adapt or I won't get to ride so sun rain or snow ill deal with it ya know!

Hey Jakobi....you should try jetting changes on a sled in below 0 F weather. Bare skin & gas takes some getting use to.

That concept can be carried over to riding down here in the summer.
Many riders just won't do singletrack when the temp hits 106F (and above.); but... if I want to ride in July or August, I just have to put cold water in the Camelbak and adjust my efforts accordingly. (I try to not ride over my head, and try to not stop. That would stop my personal air cooling. I may even jump in a creek for a break.)
For me, the ride is worth the adjustment.

Good Riding to All Y'all!
Jim

It also needs a rider who doesn't let a bunch of west coast fluffers tell him what to ride.

Tell us how you really feel, Chris.

Reggie told me about a new (to him) riding area nw of Alexandria. Sandstone. Have you been there before?

Yeah, it has been around for years. 28 mile quad/UTV trail. A little sandy, a few rocks, a few hills. Nothing challenging. 80 year old man on a GS1200 could make it around. It's fun a few times a year to just go haul ass in 4th gear around it. A little on the dangerous side for faster riders due to lots of quads and head on collisions. It is sort of a last resort place when everything else is closed.

Thanks Chris.

I'm loving my 2011 EC250.
Last Sunday, we were "beating the bushes", trying to find the old grown over and storm damaged trails at Kirby on the Bear Creek Trail. (We were doing the initial work to ready the area for our Hare Scramble in March.)

The going was very slow in a lot of it, as we worked our way around downed trees and heavy brush. The three Gassers just chugged along, but the two modern KTM 250 were having to break off the search periodically to ride down some open stuff to keep from boiling over.

30# huh? Can't tell it as long as I'm not picking it up off the ground. Even then, it doesn't seem too much to me. I'm happy with mine.
