Intermiitant trouble on a 12?

Ok everybody.
My bike has now done about 900 kms and since I have the jetting set and suspension good it now decides to miss and shut down.
Ihave had this happen three times now and it is very frustrating.
First time I was wide open in 5th and it spluttered then died when I dhut down to go through a treed area.
Second time I was on a gravel road and third time Wot up a single track.

I thought it was elecrical but now am not so sure

What do you guys reckon?

I think it could be electrical connections or water / crap in the fuel line.
I have an aftermarket fuel filter already installed.

I will be pulling the carb tomorrow to drop the needle one clip as it felt a little weak up top today. I will also check for crap in the carb and bowl.

Other than this problemm the bike is a weapon.Jetting and suspension is so close and the bike now is just an extension of me as I ride... You know what I mean

What happens when it does it? Bike dies out but then what?? Does it start straight away again or require a cool down period?? Does the e-start still turn the engine over? Does it fire or just turn over? Does the 2012 have headlight options like the 2010? Does it occur in one circuit only?

When it does it I generally fiddle around with the wiring behind the headlight and then it seems to start. Having said that it would have had time to cool each time.
The e start still turns it over but it won't fire although it seems like it has not seized.
It did however , feel very gutless wide open up a fire trail before it did it today, hence why I am dropping a clip tomorrow.

It is either a fuel blockage prob(intermittant), or an electrical prob.

I did wind the airscrew in to 1.5 turns out after the second stall and then did not have a drama and the bike felt great???

Doesn't really sound like a seizure either. If it was you'd imagine it wouldn't want to turn over or would be seriously down on power across the board. You could peep in the exhaust port to confirm your thoughts if you wanted to.

I'd probably be pulling the plug out as soon as it dies and having a look at it. I'd then be grounding it out while hitting the starter and seeing if you have spark. Is it like someones hitting the kill switch on you??

Pretty much so, although it does seem to die slowly as I have now got to know when it will happen and try to rev it etc. I am almost sure it is starving fuel.
Will clean out all fuel lines and check tank filter and aux fuel filter tomorrow.
It is not seizing but is still a little lean, hence changing the clip position.

You may want to check the gas cap vent.

My first thought is that it is running out of fuel at high speed and high RPM's. Have you checked the float level?

Single tracker, I set the float so that is good.
Gasgasman: actually thought about this also. I have installed and then removed my scotts damper and tis problem has occured since then.I have cut the fuel cap vent hose and cable tied it to the damper post. I wondered yesterday whether it was too tight( crushed too much).
You could be onto something.
