Default What have I done? I made a monster!

Hi, I have been working on my bike set-up for my first moto comming up in the next few weeks. In the progress I hav been playing with pipes, jetting, suspesio, and so on.

I really need to re-spring and re-valve my suspesion but it will be fine till I can afford it to be done.

The jetting has been a journey. I originaly had a DDK (3rd position), 178 M, 42P, and A/S .5 turns out. This produced a ver smooth bike. If I was to race a 24 hour this would be the set-up. Just smooth. Although it could use a smaller main jet at times.

The set-up I found today is for moto and goone ridding only. If I had to use it for more than 30mins at a time I would die. It is N1EF (2nd from top), 175M, 35P, A/S 2 turns out. This has serious pull off the bottom and Mid especialy with the Gnarly.

I have not played with the pipes alot yet....

Right now I am running the FMF Gnarly and it pulls alright up top with the moto jetting and is just a monster eveywhere eles.

The Doma is smooth and has way better yop end pull than the Gnarly and I will probably use it with the moto jetting or near it for more open Hare Scrambles.

All of this set-up is running with a 50T(48T stock) rear and Front 13T (stock), 2K2 Ignition (really light and still tractable), LTR powervlave cover, FMF turbine Core 2 silencer (lighter than stock, almost as quiet, and more power eveywhere), and thats about it engine wise.

So hope this can be used as a reference for someone with power need because this should do the trick.

THANKS eveyone!

This should be moved to the Jetting Database thread over in the Carby forum.

http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2162

BTW, I'd love to put a torque pipe on my '05 DE250.

I already posted it in the jetting data base. Just wanted people to see it is all.

Ohh yeah thats right, I forgot about that, the only funny thing about it was the fact it did not have a power hook-up for the lights.

The '98 ign. didn't have the lighting in it, it had an extra large lighting stator that went in the cover and cover was fixed on with dowels for alignment, and yes the 2k2 from a newer bike will bolt right on and work in the '98 engine.

Ahh well that sucks, but its ok because I am not going to need a headlight most of the time anyways, mabe I will get a newer 2k2 in the winter if I feel the need.
