Thanks. Yes this is a great site!

Brought mine home yesterday and I'm pretty stoked. Today was nice and warm here (65F) and I did a little test riding. My first ride was not too exciting. She's not running very well at all with the jetting the dealer put in. In fact it's running like crap, but I am not discouraged. There is a hint of the power available in this motor even as bad as it runs right now. The jetting threads have been a most valuable source of info. Now I just need my new needles to show up so I can wake this thing up.

Sorry to bring up an old thread. But I'm looking to buy a 2011 gas gas 300 I run the desert 100 every year and would like to know if you made it the 50 mile loop at the desert?

No worries, Yes! Not even to hit reserve with my jetting.

31st overall after a hard get off on the second lap. So I wasn't putting ether, that Dez 100 mileage is at race pace.

reverup, is that a ktm keihin your running?

I've got the stock 36mm on my 11 250, I'm not sure how different the ktm carb is, I'm still not real happy, it's not quite as crisp as my ktm 200 is, I'm going to try the YZ needle you run next

That is the stock 36mm. My first 36mm as all my other Gas Gas 300's had the 38mm. From what I have been told it is the same as the KTM's.

The YZ needle cleaned it up nicely and is still currently in the carb. Try it I think you will approve.

I have one on order, I'm using a CCK @3 right now, with a 40 pilot and 180 main, riding in mostly sand @ 200'

I think mine came with a #7 slide, not really sure

I just went from a CCK #4 to the EJ #3 middle, the power is crisp but it's missing some roll on power, makes it harder for me to wheelie in 2nd & 3rd, it may be wheel spinning too easy, it's hard for me to tell, I did not get to ride too long, son broke down
