I've got a Hyde. It's very rugged. Much better than the c.f. one I had.
Not sure where to buy one, though. I got mine through a private sale.

This is an '03 with WP43 forks. I added the 3rd bolt hole at the caliper mount.

How about something like this:

This one was made for a KTM. The KTM has an "external" threaded axle that uses
a nut on the end. As where the GasGas uses a 10mm bolt in the end of the axle.

I purchased 4-5 10mm inside diameter x 20mm outside diameter flat washers
to fill the space shown in the second picture.
With that fix the guard fits tight and strong.
This is just another option from one of those flimsy plastic "roost guards" and
should protect the disk from taking a hard hit.

This is on my 2002 XC300 with the WhitePower USD forks.
They do not make one specific for a GasGas, but if the fork/brakes are the
same Nissin on the GasGas as the KTM they will fit with the above modification.

I have an e-line guard from a YZ250 modified to fit my '06 EC300. It has held up very well.

I have an e-line guard (GasGas specific) that I just put on my '01 XC300. (The picture on the e-line web site is different than what I have.)

Thanks for the replys guys...I can't find a hyde guard on their website and the Eline guard is $150 OUCH. So Jeff I think im going to try your solution. On the link you posted which one of the two on that page did you buy? KFD-100-109 says for up to 02 KTMs and KFD-100-209 says 03 to 08....or does it not make a difference?

Thanks Again,
Sam

The one in my picture is the "KFD-100-109"
I believe KTM and GG used the same fork & caliper
combo back then.
Mine fit perfectly with the exception of the mod
I mentioned. I am curious if the KTM axle would
be a direct swap. I know the diameters are the
same, but, is the total length and the machined
wheel spacer distance correct for GG? I don't know.
If I find someone in camp some day with the right
year KTM. I will ask them if I can try and see ft it
will fit.
Enjoy. Jeff So. Cal.
