Question EC200 kick start lever (2000 model)

Hi all,
The kick start lever on my Y2k EC200 model has become too worn to use effectively anymore. I notice from the Parts Crossover table, that the YZ250 model can be used on a GasGas but not sure which model.
Has anyone any knowledge of specific bikes that have an interchangeable kick start with my bike?
I've had it priced at £93 from GasGas uk delivered, which is a bit much just for a lever!!
Thanks in advance.

Si

Thanks for the tip Erik. Unfortunately the YZ lever has been quoted at near enough the same as the gasser version, so I'll just have to fork out the cash for the right one.
Look after your kick start lever is all I can advise!!
Cheers

Si

Did you like the YZ kickstarter better than the stock one. I also heard a KTM kickstarter will fit, does anyone know if this is true? BTW I have an '01 SE250 and the screw is on top, but the YZ screw is on the side!

Back in 2001 they offered The special edition, I believe it's the same thing as the Dealer edition!

I have never heard the KTM thing, I don't think it will work. Here is a link to a lever on eBay with a good picture.

This lever will fit both my '00 and '04 so I'm unsure what you are talking about on yours. The 200 is the same I believe.

Thanks for the reply! Everyone seems to be using the same kickstarter, and that price is the cheapest I've seen! Thanks again!

The dealer edition was the same as the "base model" XC of that year. The SE was loaded up with options - it had ohlins forks, gold anodized rims, and special graphics, (wer damper?) etc. You could not get the 'ohlins forks option' by itself - you had to order the SE.

The KTM starter will work, I had one on my '00 XC250. Since the knuckle is more narrow, you have to add some shims to the shaft so it can seat on the taper before the bolt bottoms.
