Default Boysen "rev-plate"

Is there much/any difference between using the stock reed mounting bars and the curved "rev-plates" that came with my Boysen Pro Series reeds ?
I'm not looking for any power "hit" and would like long life from the reeds.

i woulda thought they give you a bit more over-rev without being overly detrimental to the reeds and i wouldn't think you'd shorten the reed life noticeably by using them.

I installed them. I'm sure they'll be fine. Just curious if anyone had an opinion.
