I know you stated no weight but other than jetting it fat..........or backing off on some timing. One of the other members tried the S3 23oz fly wheel weight and had reported that it was as close to a John Deere without being green!

Lots of choices but why not just try taller gearing? couple teeth less on rear sprocket will make a huge difference.

Thanks guys! I really want to stay away from the fly wheel weight, because there are times when I ride the desert also. The rear sprocket is a 48 which I do need to change to a 50 or 52. I was thinking can system because it is suppose to calm the bike down and it is easily made stock again.

Roscoe always amazed me how he could make that thing work so well with the stock, uber high gearing? When you gear it down the need to calm it down, over here on the wet side anyway, will be even more apparent? The G2 works very well on my 300.

Sorry for my ignorance, but wont it slow the motor down more than I would want for desert riding.

Thanks for that read. After reading, that may be an option.

I put a 1mm thick shim in the governor mechanism by bulling the side cover, removing the governor, and putting in the shim. Takes some work. What is interesting before I did this I was richening the needle to get the power smoother when the power valve opens. With the shim I had to drop the needle a clip and it may still be too rich. Just to be clear the shim is not magic. I was just working on trying to make it smoother when it cam on the power valve.

Default Calming down the EC300

No it does not slow down top end speed/performance. I would imagine in theory it would slow it minutely, but $$$ wise a weight is by far the best investment to calm a 300 down without losing any performance.
