Exclamation EC/XC Electric Start Issue

The stock leads from the battery to the chassis/starter solenoid are not big enough in diameter (10 gauge wire) to provide the amps required to start when cold.

After a quick trip to the hardware store for 8 gauge wire and connectors ($10.00), I made two new leads and swapped out the stock leads with the new thicker leads.

Instant starting power! No more waiting for the bike to warm up!

This is not my idea, just wanted to post it up front where it would be easy ti find!

Cheers!

Rob

Default Wishful thinking

I thought the 8 gauge ground wire fixed the problem.

Maybe next time
