The 250 pistons can be sourced significantly cheaper than the 300s. Another reason I like the smaller capacity.

pssst. Nothing beats cubic inches.

Ive sent a order to Motocrosscenter 5 days ago. Havent received answer yet. Pretty terrible service, to be honest.

New piston is in. Did put the new rings in barrel without piston, ringgap is 0.20-0,25. I know recomended is 0,315 or something.
well, did put the piston it. Runs sweet.

It certainly started out as a B. I would measure the diameter a few places along the bore to check wear. If you don't have a measuring device, use a piston ring and measure the bore and compare end gap differences at different heights.

It doesn't take a lot of wear to be able to use a C piston in a B cylinder. The difference in diameter between one piston and the other is only 1/100mm; and they use the same rings.
I often go to the next size piston to accommodate wear (keep the tolerances tight and reduce piston skirt slap).

When I have a cylinder repaired/re-coated, I normally send an A piston for them to match the new bore to; giving me a head start on ring wear.

Happy Thanksgiving and Good Riding!
Jim
