Thanks. We have heard amazing things about the Blackbear and that is marked in ink for next year.
We did the Shelton Valley last year and the one at Capitol a couple of years ago. I love timekeepers, very fun stuff. |

A couple pics of yesterdays single track conditions at Tahuya for ya.The Olympic rain shadow was in effect and conditions were stellar.
Yep thats my ride yesterday a Yamaha WR 250F 4 stroke with a trials tire. Gas Gas is in the garage in pieces for maintenance. I knew getting the wife that sweet little ride would pay off. Can make that bike sing in tight spaces like the Tahuya has to offer. Fun stuff

Man, that looke like perfect conditions. We are still interested in hooking up at some point to learn this area. I know it stays open during winter months and maybe we can hit it sometime over the next couple of months.
We ended up at Nestucca and put on great 35 mile rip rarely hitting 3rd gear in the tight, slimy woods. Very fun. |

Heres a few pics from my ride yesterday out there. it was cold! It was a crisp, clear, sunny day with temps in the teens.
My drink hose was froze solid in about 5 min. I felt like the great ice breaker as I entered small lake size puddles wondering if I would break through to water or just slide on top. Most roots and rocks were encased in Ice and the ground was like aggregate cement and made for some super technical riding. Enjoy, Roscoe After 3 bikes break through the ice icy roots = sketchy fun solid ground in the clear cuts Most of the open stuff looked like this

is it me or is it always the KTM that needs the trailside repair Ha Ha!
Scott grippin it n ripping it! kendall coming out of the trees This is called a frost flower which is a pretty rare phenomenon that happens only when conditions are just right. That is a piece of waterlogged wood that the sudden freeze pressure forces the water out of the wood and it grows in the consistency of fiberglass insulation.

Great pics Roscoe,
Looks like conditions werent too bad! I rode 2 years ago in freezing fog at 19 degrees! With the right gear, cold conditions arent to bad. Man, I gotta get up there. If we get a little nice weather stretch, I'm comin' up! Roscoe, did you ride the new gasser? |
