Default EC300 Gearbox oil

Hi guys,
2014 GAS GAS EC300.
What type of oil should I use in my gearbox ?

Manual says to use "10W30 API SF o SG"
Will the mineral oil work fine?
https://www.motul.com/ca/en-US/products/transoil-10w-30

Or should I use the technosynthese one ?
https://www.motul.com/ca/en-US/produ...-expert-10w-40

Is there better oils out there ?
Thanks !

Standard oils are fine. Just make sure they have the correct rating that approves them for use in wet clutch applications.

That said, I always use ATF Type F transmission fluid.

In my experience Motul Transoil std makes the clutch drag.
Motul Transoil Expert allows you to kickstart in gear.

Lovely stuff.

belray gearsaver was my go-to. I once found some of the OEM GRO oil and that was as good if not better

Another vote for the Bel Ray Gearsaver. I use the W80.

I used to use ATF Dex II. Just out of interest do you know what the difference between the Type F and the Dex II is?

Type F has friction type material added to the oil.

The friction modifiers are different. The Type F has less friction reducing modifiers, which results in a more aggressive engagement, than the Dextron/Mercon II/III.
