Default Coolant leaking from where gasket goes on bottom of barrel

Hi all. Replaced my piston today. Put everything back together and it looks like there is a small leak from the gasket where the barrel fits onto the bottom end. Right next to the exhaust manifold. anyone had this issue before? Will I have to take it all apart again? Bikes starting up lovely and that so I don't really want to take it all apart again

Thanks for the help
Nick

I had this happen a month ago on my goddaughters ec144. It appears that the previous owner over-tightened the cylinder to case bolts and slightly warped the cylinder corners. I was able to check it with a straightedge and feeler gauge. I was able to fix it with a fine flat file and I also used some Hondabond when I put it back together.

So how would the coolant be getting down the cylinder that far? I thought it went into the head and acted as a water jacket. Where does it go down to the join at the bottom of the cylinder?

The coolant comes from the pump through the lower case into the bottom of the cylinder up to the head and out the hose to the radiators and back to the pump.

So I noticed yesterday that my radiator had bent quite badly and I noticed a leak from the top of that. Took it off and straightened it up and now there are no leaks anywhere. It must have been coming down the rad onto the front of the engine somewhere. I will keep an eye on it. Going to go out and bed the new piston in tomoro. Will post an update
