I am upgrading the engine on my Godson's EC200 so I bought the complete engine, carb, ignition, harness. I also bought the rear brake assembly. From the photos I think it is a 2k2 since the wires come out the front at 10 o-clock and not the 1 o-clock location. That would also be consistent with my 2001 XC300.

Thanks Zman, for letting me know.
I hope that your project works well for you. Nothing like helping family to go riding with you.

Good Riding!

I fully agree with you Jim, this is a fantastic family sport! My boy started riding at 3.5 yrs. We ride with 3 other families and between us we have; 7 kids (ages 11 to 14), 4 girls and we are now up to 5 GasGas bikes!

I applaud your efforts.
Part of what I'm doing now, looking for spare parts, is to get some larger bikes ready for grandkids that are outgrowing the XR100s, and the spares to keep them going. We start the grandkids at their third birthday on XR50s with training wheels. (I've got 16 grandkids, now, and all of them ride except for the two youngest, and two more that "mama don't want them ridiing".) Then CRF70, 80, and 100, as they grow. Then, it's a move to 200 and larger 2-strokes. I prefer GasGas for the larger bikes. :-)

Good Family Singletrack Riding to You!
Jim

Sounds like we did a similar progression. Between the two boys we have had a XR50, CRF50, CRF70, TTR90 CRF80, XR100, YZ85, both are riding kx100s right now and I am building a GG for later this year as my 13yr old is starting to get large on the KX. I have been buying their next / larger bikes used (often need work) in the winter when prices are cheap and sell the previous years bikes in the spring when prices are high. This way the sport does not cost as much.

Sorry Army has been keeping me a little busy. I updated the list of what I still have. Shipping parts today and getting a shipping quote for the wheels today.

FMF Pipe was shipped earlier in the week by my wife, should be there soon if not already.

You don't out grow bikes... you find another use.. I have a RM *% set up for supermoto and is serious fun getting slippery in the dirt section with road racing slicks on it

That would explain how the number of bikes in my shed seems to be increasing.
