Well it is a Tropical 60 degrees here in Houston Texas. Those spikes might help to give us traction on our tree roots. I wish it was cold!

Just got a 2011 250 six days late last month. I'm riding at 800-900 feet above sea level and the temperatures have been 15 to 30 degrees F. I left the pilot jet alone. Needle is in middle position. Put a 180 main jet in and turned the air screw about 2 1/4 out if I remember correctly. Bike runs perfect!

Here's a picture from New Year's Day 2008. This coming new year I'll do it on a GG. I love winter riding!

We'e been riding here in Arkansas but not that cold yet. May have gotten first snow last nite but I'm out of town until tomorrow. Trails are burning in nice for our annual New Years Day race/ride.

I love winter riding and stud my bikes up. For jetting, my rule of thumb is to go up 1 size on the pilot and 2 sizes on the main. I leave the needle and clip position alone.

It would be interesting to see if the 144 would work good in the snow. I remember having my 510 studded up last year and I was thankful for the extra Hp in the deep stuff.
My XC 300 is studded up but I haven't been out yet. It's warming up and maybe over Christmas

Happy Holidays everyone.
