Gasgas 450 FSE 2004 Regulator / Rectifier
Hi gents,
I tested the output from my rectifier last week and found it was pushing out 16.5v at idle. I've just got a new one sent in the post but when it's arrived its the 2002/3 rectifier (finned version - part number MFS400134009), the one on mine is the Ducati unit - part number MFS450434009. The connector is the same but before I connect the battery and run it would running the older version cause an issue? Is there any reason why it should cause a problem? Would appreciate your advice please! Last edited by Leeky; 06-02-2016 at 03:56 PM. |

I checked the gasgas exploded diagrams / parts list and the Ducati unit is listed as 2005 MY. On the 2004 parts list it shows the finned type I received.
The vin shows it's 2004, the motorcross shop lists the Ducati unit fitting 04 onwards - no idea why they should conflict! I've sent it back in the hope I get a Ducati unit in replacement! Last edited by Leeky; 06-03-2016 at 01:35 PM. |
