Front fork suggestions welcomed??
Here is the thing, when it comes to suspension I'm all thumbs. What I have is the 45magnums on my 97 EC250 and they still work great. I have a 1995 KX 250 in the garage I am parting out I still have the forks, triples, brakes and wheel etc., but I just dont know what is the better fork? If any of you gurus could make any suggestions it would be very welcomed.
I have access to the tools and a press to change the stems out. |

My suggestion is to leave the stock forks on the bike. They work fine for trail riding and so do the KX forks but you will have to swap out forks, clamps, brakes, and wheel. Also, the Kaw and GG steering stop setup is different (it may not be a problem but it is different). The KX forks work well with a rebuild and a revalve for off road but they will work better on an MX track. If you want to go with KX forks, start with a 1999 as they work well out of the box and work great with a re-valve for offroad. However, they will also need the wheel/brakes/etc. to work on the GG. Good luck!
Eric
