Default Alloy subframe installation

I just got my alloy replacement subframe to substitute for my 2012 plastic one that broke. Mark at Gofasters set me up. Includes a new seat and everything. I was wondering if anyone here has already done this upgrade and if there's any advice you may have for somebody about to dive into it?

Use the Search function and you will find where GMP provided pics and discussion about the upgrade.

Just finished mine yesterday. It is pretty straight forward. Just need a few pieces of hardware/bolts. I should have made a list of what was needed, but I was at work and fitting this in between running calls. You will need two new mounting bolts for the subframe mounts near the top of the shock. Also a few M5 bolts as well. The strap that has the GG logo will fit on top of the airbox. I managed to keep my old side panels. I cut off the lower piece that slides into the old side spars and drilled a hole to bolt to the new spars.

Just take your time and it will come together.

Question

The metal strap w/ the GG logo. Is for the 13'w/ plastic sub. Desert Gasser, did you need to drill the metal bracket to fit on the seat base?

Top mounts are m8x1.25x50. Smaller screws are m5x0.8x15 iirc.

This is what I figured it went. It didn't fit anywhere else and the pics I did find of it looked to be the right application. Couldn't figure why they would include a piece that goes with the plastic sub-frame with the alloy kit?

2 of the M8's, I grabbed at least 6 of the others. But reused what I could of the old hardware.

This part is an interesting one.

I looked at the 2013 Parts diagram for the Factory Replica. The only place I could find this piece was here (see photo below). It bolts to the under side of the seat base and then when the seat is installed it catches the hook you see in your photo.
Does that make sense to you and others?
Obviously this would be for the kick start models only as I think the E-start ones have the battery installed to the under side of the seat base (this is my guess only as I have not seen exactly how the battery is installed on the 2013's)

The interesting think is that the holes do line up perfect for the airbox but I do not see this piece on the parts diagram for the airbox....
