been tempted to try a trials tyre but haven't as yet,wouldnt a heavier rear wheel tyre add some 'flywheel'effect also?ie.spin up a little slower,but carry its momentum a little further?tradeoff-more gyroscopic effect.how does the trials setup compare on weight?tyre plus tubliss,extra rimlock etc

I would guess a tire is different from something you can clutch. I would think a larger tire weight wise would spin up slower but also brake slower, not many want less braking power, but depending on tire difference it can make a difference.
