Fse 400 newbie probs :-(

Hi guys hoping u can help?? I've just bought an 02 fse 400 went ok on test ride got it home in the van now won't rev clean starts ok & ticks over bring the rev up & it's boggy popping & spitting flames out the exhaust changed fuel plug still won't behave any ideas appreciated cheers jaymes
