Default Can't put on neutral gear

I made full rebuild on my ec 300 and now the engine is ready ,but i can't put on neutral gear .Another gears work fine ,but won't stay on neutral .When i remove the left engine case i can put on neutral ,but when i assembly the case i can't .I'm confused ,any ideas ?I tried also with oil in tranny ,but its the same.

Shift shaft binding?

Some folks have bent their shift shaft so badly they had to cut it off the splines in order to remove the shaft.

Are you sure the shifting parts inside the right side case are assembled correctly? Check the parts for cracked welds.

I had a similar problem, but I cannot remember what exactly the problem was. If I remember correctly, there is a spring loaded arm/ roller that is supposed to keep the selector drum in place in neutral. I think my problem had something to do with that arm and its shim or washer being on the wrong side. I did write a post here about it once, but as I said, years ago.

Shift shaft is ok .I'm sure ,that the shifting parts inside the right side case are assembled correctly .Today i put ot neutral once or twice ,but now i can't .

This way.. this is the bike in neutral, with the roller sitting up on the ridge between 1st and 2nd on the selector.

When i remove right engine case ,i can put the roller on neutral .But when assembly a case I'can't .No logic .

Yes there is always a logic ;-)
Putting on the engine cover will put some pressure om some part because the is a misplaced shim or something similar.
